Production Training Programs

We create, develop and implement comprehensive, hands-on production training programs with positive professional outcomes for all participants.

Each of the following 24-week programs provided industry-standard production training to unemployed youths. Participants learned all components of pre-production, production and post-production by producing a media program for broadcast on a TV network. All programs had a successful outcome with participants finding job placements in the industry or enrolling in college or university at the end of the program.

The 3rd Annual Lion Dance Festival

2 groups of 10 youth produced half-hour videos on the Toronto Lion Dance Festival in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, broadcast on CFMT (Omni 1) and distributed internationally by Telefilm.

The Changing Face of AIDS

4 youth participants with disabilities produced this 40-minute documentary, broadcast nationally on CTV and Rogers Cable, distributed to all schools and libraries in the GTA and Peel regions, and distributed internationally by Telefilm. They also built The Teresa Group’s first website.

Gun Control

This media program was produced in English and French through a youth production internship program, including a teacher’s guide and zine.

The Toronto Lion Dance Festival

In partnership with the Service Canada Youth Internship Program, participants produced a multi-language video that was used as an outreach tool and debuted at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. This video was broadcast on CFMT – 47 (Omni 1) and was distributed to schools and libraries across Canada.

Therapeutic Creative Misbehavior
